​S4 2023 will consist of three days of lectures and workshops from experts in the field of speleothem science at the Institute of Geosciences at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. Participants will also get the chance to present their own research to fellow participants and the experts during poster sessions.​ This will be followed by a 4-day field trip to PETAR (Parque Estadual Turistico do Alto Riberia), a beautiful region renowned for its caves.

What does the registration fee cover?

The registration fee will include lodging, breakfasts and some lunches, and the field trip. Participants will need to secure funding for travel to and from Brazil and some of their meals during the event. ​

During S4 2023, we will follow the current COVID-19 safety regulations that are in place at the time, and all participants are required to do the same. We will keep you updated with the available information here.
